Phase II-IV
Two optimal dgd Research facility locations provide exceptional access to distinct patient populations. The South Texas Medical Center location-referred to as Main Research-is the primary facility for Phase II-IV studies. Our Main Research facility includes eight patient exam/procedure rooms, six client monitor rooms, and a separate pharmacokinetic (PK) room.
Our West Side facility, located in the Las Palmas Shopping Center, provides access to a specific population of research participants who are either drug naïve or cannot afford medication. The majority of participants are "walk-ins" and receive immediate attention from our clinical coordinators.
Phase II-IV studies at both locations have included healthy participants as well as patients diagnosed with diabetes, hypertension, hypercholesterolemia, hyperlipidemia, neuropathy, osteoporosis, menopause, obesity, low testosterone, chronic kidney disease, and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).
Our two research facilities maintain the fifth largest U.S. market share for Phase II-IV endocrine and metabolic clinical trials because we offer the following:
- Professionally licensed (RN, LVN) Clinical Research Coordinators who provide personalized patient care, education, and support throughout the study.
- Dedicated on-site Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants.
- Medical Assistants skilled in performing EKG's, pulmonary function tests (PFT's), pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic long draws, and electrophysiology testing.
- CLIA-accredited laboratories complete with -20°C and -70°C freezers.
- Separate PK long draw room with comfortable recliners, TV/VCR, and an assortment of reading materials.
- Locked drug storage and medication rooms with limited access.
